We believe curiosity is one of the most powerful forces in the world. Through imagination, engineering, and craftsmanship, we build experiences that invite people to explore what's possible.
We design, prototype, fabricate, and deliver environments, scenic elements, props, exhibits, and custom experiences, built with technical discipline and hands-on craft.
Start a ConversationWe believe the future should feel more human, not less. Senna Creative Works brings artists, designers, engineers, and fabricators into the same conversation, turning ambitious ideas into physical experiences that spark curiosity, create connection, and endure.
Many of our projects can't be publicly shared. What we can share is how we think, and let that earn your trust.
From concept sketches to finished environments, we build the thing, not just design it.
Full scenic environments and large-scale builds constructed for performance, durability, and story.
One-off hero props and signature elements built with the detail and craft of a feature film.
Spaces designed for exploration, where every surface, material, and detail serves the story.
Museum-quality exhibition work and permanent installations built for long-term operation.
Engineered moving parts, pneumatic systems, and interactive elements tested for reliable operation.
Rapid physical prototypes that test concepts before commitment. We build to learn, then build to last.
Scenic paint, aged surfaces, material simulation, and specialty textures that make the unreal feel real.
CAD and 3D modeling integrated directly into fabrication, with design and build in the same conversation.
The experiences we remember most don't simply entertain us. They invite us to explore. To ask questions. To see the world a little differently than we did before.
At their best, themed environments create moments of shared discovery, bringing people together around a story, an idea, or a possibility that feels larger than themselves.
We believe curiosity is one of the most powerful forces in the world. It drives invention, fuels creativity, and opens doors to new ways of thinking.
That's why we care so deeply about how things are made. Because when imagination, engineering, and craftsmanship work together, they can create experiences that do more than impress. They can inspire.
And inspiration has a way of staying with people long after they leave.
A trip that once took months by sea now takes hours. The Wright Brothers flew at Kitty Hawk in 1903. Scheduled commercial air travel began within two decades.
Complexity is easy. Simplicity requires experience and discipline. Every decision is pressure-tested against a simple question: does it solve the problem, serve the story, and remain reliable in operation? We believe the strongest solutions are often the ones that feel obvious in hindsight. Our experience enables us to foresee and address issues before they might become problems.
Great ideas become great experiences when they are grounded in reality. We begin with the guest experience, operational needs, physical constraints, schedule, budget, and maintenance requirements. Understanding what is true allows us to create solutions that are both imaginative and practical.
Opening day is only the beginning. Themed environments are operated, maintained, and experienced for years, often decades. We design with longevity in mind, creating work that remains dependable, maintainable, and meaningful long after the ribbon is cut.
Understand the guest, the story, the space, the operator, the budget, and the timeline.
Establish scope, criteria, constraints, and success metrics before any design begins.
Concept through development: sketches, models, technical drawings, material selections.
Physical tests at the lowest fidelity that answers the hardest questions. Build to learn.
Fabrication with both the care of a studio, and the rigor of an operation that must work every day.
Stress testing, operational walkthroughs, and adjustments before the work leaves our hands.
Commission, documentation, and support. We don't disappear after the ribbon is cut.
Many of the projects we contribute to live behind NDAs, active productions, or client confidentiality. Rather than fill this space with work we cannot discuss, we share how we think, how we build, and the principles that guide our process.
Because ultimately, that's what clients hire us for: not just execution, but judgment.
What we can show is how we think, how we solve problems, and the care we put into every decision.
Senna Creative Works is built around a simple belief: the strongest work happens when creative vision and practical execution stay close together.
Mike is proof that the best builders aren't made in classrooms; they're made in garages at midnight, chasing a problem no one else thought was worth solving. He built his first fully functional remote-controlled R2-D2 replica in 2003 entirely from scratch. That droid went on to represent Lucasfilm and Disney for over a decade, appearing at the Rose Parade, the Academy Awards, and hundreds of charity events. He then built WALL-E. Then BB-8. Then Eve. Each a from-scratch feat of engineering, mechanism design, and character fidelity. Today at Senna Creative Works, Mike brings that same maker's instinct to every project, knowing when to reach for new tools and when the simplest solution is the one that lasts.
Robert is the creative engine of Senna Creative Works, a designer who thinks in three dimensions and builds in all of them. With a background spanning experiential design, environmental storytelling, and design-to-build execution, he brings a rare fluency across the full creative arc: from the first sketch to the finished surface. His work is shaped by a belief that design and fabrication are the same conversation: the best ideas only reveal themselves when you're willing to get your hands into the material. Robert doesn't hand things off; he follows them through.
Amy brings a background in public affairs, event planning, and administration to Senna Creative Works, where she oversees finance, coordination, and business operations, keeping projects, budgets, and communication aligned so the work moves forward with clarity and care. She also manages Mike Senna Productions, bringing added experience in production support and the behind-the-scenes structure creative work depends on. Her role bridges the practical needs of the business with the human side of client relationships, giving the studio's ideas the organization they need to endure.
Whether you're in the concept phase or mid-project looking for a steadier hand, we want to hear about it. No project is too early or too complex to start a conversation.
